How many books did you read? I read 5 on the Kindle, 2 thrillers, one historical novel about Anne Boleyn, a book called This is How, and one that is about a girl in middle school, The Age of Miracles, Karen Walker tell the story of an 11- year -old girl during the time when the earth's rotation starts to slow down, and the days and nights become longer and longer. It's part science fiction, part disaster, part coming-of-age, with a bit of a love story as well.

Al Capone Does my Shoes
This book is about a boy named Moose Flanagan that his family moved to Alcatraz.Yes he moves to the place where the biggest and the baddest criminals reside. Pretty scary, huh? Well for him,its more of boring. But just take in consideration whats going on and who he`s met. Then you`ll understand. He also has a sister named Natalie who has autism,so she doesnt like to talk to him, just organize rocks or feathers or items of that nature. So even worse. But there is a catch...you do realize that since he`s on the place where the biggest and baddest are..he`s gotta meet the biggest and the baddest of `em all..Al Capone!!! But that is all I can say...So if you wanna find out what happens, get this this book!!! By Mauro Provencio

Invention by Shel Silverstein
I've done it, I've done it!
Guess what I've done!
Invented a light that plugs into the sun.
The sun is bright enough,
the bulb is strong enough,
But, oh, there's only one thing wrong. . .
The cord ain't long enough.
Guess what I've done!
Invented a light that plugs into the sun.
The sun is bright enough,

A Dream Within A Dream by Edgar Allan Poe
Take this kiss upon the brow!
And, in parting from you now,
Thus much let me avow--
You are not wrong, who deem
That my days have been a dream;
Yet if hope has flown away
In a night, or in a day,
In a vision, or in none,
Is it therefore the less gone?
All that we see or seem
Is but a dream within a dream.
I stand amid the roar
Of a surf-tormented shore,
And I hold within my hand
Grains of the golden sand--
How few! yet how they creep
Through my fingers to the deep,
While I weep--while I weep!
O God! can I not grasp
Them with a tighter clasp?
O God! can I not save
One from the pitiless wave?
Is all that we see or seem
But a dream within a dream?
And, in parting from you now,
Thus much let me avow--
You are not wrong, who deem
That my days have been a dream;
Yet if hope has flown away
In a night, or in a day,
In a vision, or in none,
Is it therefore the less gone?
All that we see or seem
Is but a dream within a dream.

And I hold within my hand

The Platypus by Oliver Herford
MY child, the Duck-billed Platypus
A sad example sets for us:
From him we learn how Indecision
Of character provokes Derision.
This vacillating Thing, you see,
Could not decide which he would be,
Fish, Flesh, or Fowl, and chose all three.
The scientists were sorely vexed
To classify him; so perplexed
Their brains that they, with Rage at bay,
Called him a hor-rid name one day,--
A name that baf-fles, frights, and shocks us,--
Ornithorhynchus Paradoxus.

Angel of Death
BY:udiah
In darkness of the night
I spied him in a tree
Sat I froze by the sight
He was looking at me
The summer's heat became a chill
The angel of death at his kill
My heart skipped with the fright
Blinked my eyes to bet'r see
Glanced back with all my might
Parted he my comp'ny
My chest was quickly pounding still
The angel of death at his kill
I did rise and take flight
The fear made me to flee
From darkness into light
To free captivity
Unbinding my soul from his will
The angel of death at his kill
Many years since that night
Gazed I on that braz'n be
Mem'ries of still incite
Fears of my slavery
Existence of him makes me ill
The angel of death at his kill
I spied him in a tree

The Bells by Edgar Allen Poe
I
Hear the sledges with the bells -
Silver bells!
What a world of merriment their melody foretells!
How they tinkle, tinkle, tinkle,
In the icy air of night!
While the stars that oversprinkle
All the heavens, seem to twinkle
With a crystalline delight;
Keeping time, time, time,
In a sort of Runic rhyme,
To the tintinnabulation that so musically wells
From the bells, bells, bells, bells,
Bells, bells, bells -
From the jingling and the tinkling of the bells.
II
Hear the mellow wedding bells -
Golden bells!
What a world of happiness their harmony foretells!
Through the balmy air of night
How they ring out their delight! -
From the molten - golden notes,
And all in tune,
What a liquid ditty floats
To the turtle - dove that listens, while she gloats
On the moon!
Oh, from out the sounding cells,
What a gush of euphony voluminously wells!
How it swells!
How it dwells
On the Future! - how it tells
Of the rapture that impels
To the swinging and the ringing
Of the bells, bells, bells -
Of the bells, bells, bells, bells,
Bells, bells, bells -
To the rhyming and the chiming of the bells!
III
Hear the loud alarum bells -
Brazen bells!
What a tale of terror, now, their turbulency tells!
In the startled ear of night
How they scream out their affright!
Too much horrified to speak,
They can only shriek, shriek,
Out of tune,
In a clamorous appealing to the mercy of the fire,
In a mad expostulation with the deaf and frantic fire,
Leaping higher, higher, higher,
With a desperate desire,
And a resolute endeavor
Now - now to sit, or never,
By the side of the pale - faced moon.
Oh, the bells, bells, bells!
What a tale their terror tells
Of Despair!
How they clang, and clash and roar!
What a horror they outpour
On the bosom of the palpitating air!
Yet the ear, it fully knows,
By the twanging,
And the clanging,
How the danger ebbs and flows;
Yet the ear distinctly tells,
In the jangling,
And the wrangling,
How the danger sinks and swells,
By the sinking or the swelling in the anger of the bells -
Of the bells -
Of the bells, bells, bells, bells,
Bells, bells, bells -
In the clamor and the clanging of the bells!
IV
Hear the tolling of the bells -
Iron bells!
What a world of solemn thought their monody compels!
In the silence of the night,
How we shiver with affright
At the melancholy menace of their tone!
For every sound that floats
From the rust within their throats
Is a groan.
And the people - ah, the people -
They that dwell up in the steeple,
All alone,
And who, tolling, tolling, tolling,
In that muffled monotone,
Feel a glory in so rolling
On the human heart a stone -
They are neither man nor woman -
They are neither brute nor human -
They are Ghouls: -
And their king it is who tolls: -
And he rolls, rolls, rolls,
Rolls
A paean from the bells!
And his merry bosom swells
With the paean of the bells!
And he dances, and he yells;
Keeping time, time, time,
In a sort of Runic rhyme,
To the paean of the bells: -
Of the bells:
Keeping time, time, time
In a sort of Runic rhyme,
To the throbbing of the bells -
Of the bells, bells, bells: -
To the sobbing of the bells: -
Keeping time, time, time,
As he knells, knells, knells,
In a happy Runic rhyme,
To the rolling of the bells -
Of the bells, bells, bells -
To the tolling of the bells -
Of the bells, bells, bells, bells,
Bells, bells, bells, -
To the moaning and the groaning of the bells.

The Reasons I love you by David Munoz
The Smell of your hair
The taste of your kiss
These are the things
That i will aways miss
The sound of your voice
The feel of your hand
They affect me in ways
you could never understand
The love in your heart
The peace in your eyes
They make me feel
Like i want to cry
You are a gift
That God gave to me
And I just feel
That we are meant to be
I'll love you forever
I hope you do too
For it's only a short while
Before we say "I do"
The taste of your kiss
These are the things
That i will aways miss

The feel of your hand

My Little Scrapper
By Judy Muldowney
Thinking back through all the years
How swiftly they’ve passed by
I close my eyes and bite my lip
Try so hard not to cry
You were always such a scrapper
A raging thunderstorm
The day you shed your diaper
You donned a uniform.
Fear – never a factor
With the toughest, there you stood
You have the will, the soul,
the heart...
But, I always knew you would
I watch you while you’re sleeping
So still, so calm, serene
Once you step upon
That football field
You’re one powerful machine.
I marvel at your talents
You’re intense and dedicated
So keen, devoted, daring
Just as I anticipated
Your qualities are endless
You’re faithful, kind and true
Righteous and respected
A leader, Josh, that’s you!
Watching you play any sport
Has always been a pleasure
You’re masterful and focused
My pride - I can not measure
And now my little scrapper
You’ve become a strapping man
So stay steadfast … follow the sun
And be the best you can!
How swiftly they’ve passed by
I close my eyes and bite my lip
Try so hard not to cry
You were always such a scrapper
A raging thunderstorm
The day you shed your diaper
You donned a uniform.
Fear – never a factor

My Shadow
I have a little shadow that goes in and out with me,
And what can be the use of him is more than I can see.
He is very, very like me from the heels up to the head;
And I see him jump before me, when I jump into my bed.
The funniest thing about him is the way he likes to grow—
Not at all like proper children, which is always very slow;
For he sometimes shoots up taller like an india-rubber ball,
And he sometimes gets so little that there's none of him at all.
He hasn't got a notion of how children ought to play,
And can only make a fool of me in every sort of way.
He stays so close beside me, he's a coward you can see;
I'd think shame to stick to nursie as that shadow sticks to me!
One morning, very early, before the sun was up,
I rose and found the shining dew on every buttercup;
But my lazy little shadow, like an errant sleepy-head,
Had stayed at home behind me and was fast asleep in bed.

The DJ
The DJ spun the decks so fine, using the passion of music to blow their minds, with a flick and a tuck of the wrist it had all begun as the DJ was a number one.
Slowly the DJ teased and the DJ tantalised, slowly the DJ built up the speed and made them fantasies, as the DJ’s passion grew ever more, bodies danced crazed upon the dance floor.
After winding up to the extreme, the DJ wound down or so it would seem, just as the slower moves had begun, the DJ would show them why this DJ was number one.
Squirming and twitching, all were once more as the DJ blasted pure sound across the crazed dance floor, a powerful blast of so much extreme, the ladies near the speakers were feeling the lyrical dream.
After taking them up and bringing them down, sweat and hormones stumbled all around, now it was up to the DJ, was the DJ getting bored entertaining the screaming hoard or had the DJ only started to play after all the DJ would be back another day.
The DJ had decided to wind down for the night, as the DJ had seen something quit interesting and tight, once the set had come to an end the DJ

My Best Friend(: By Elende Wharton
posted By: Vanessa.J :D
She's my best friend,
Till the very end,
She makes me smile,
All the while,
When she goes away,
I miss her every day,
She cheers me up when I have a frown,
And turns that frown upside down,
She's always the one who knows what to say,
I promise you I'm here too stay,
We have so many memories,
That are going to stay with me,
We've had so much fun,
And more to come,
Your my one and only trophy.
Food Fight by Kenn Nesbitt
We’d never seen the teachers
in a state of such distress.
The principal was yelling
that the lunchroom was a mess.
It started off so innocent
when someone threw a bun,
but all the other kids decided
they should join the fun.
It instantly turned into
an enormous lunchroom feud,
as students started hurling
all their halfway-eaten food.
A glob went whizzing through the air,
impacting on the wall.
Another chunk went sailing out
the doorway to the hall.
The food was splattered everywhere—
the ceilings, walls, and doors.
A sloppy, gloppy mess was on
the tables and the floors.
And so our good custodian
ran out to grab his mop.
It took him half the afternoon
to clean up all the slop.
The teachers even used some words
we’re not supposed to mention.
And that’s how all the kids and teachers
wound up in detention.

Busses float and buildings dangle:

Free Time and Homework
Free time is like summer,
Under the blue sky umbrella
Wrapping its warm protection around me
While homework is like winter
Holding me prisoner
With its vice grip hold
Free time is like a frog
Croaking, jumping, and splashing
Safely in a pond
But homework is like a snake
Slithering around underneath
In its icy underground world
Free time is like my favorite pajamas
Soft and loose against my skin
But homework is like a straitjacket
Tight, binding on my skin
Taking away my breath

The Hunger Games By: Suzanne Collins
In the Nation of Panem, lies the Capitol surrounded by twelve districts. The Capitol a rough and cruel and keeps the districts in rule by forcing them all to send one boy and one girl between the ages of twelve to eighteen to participate in the annual Hunger Games, a fight to death on live TV. Sixteen-year-old Katniss Everdeen from district twelve, glances it as a death sentence when she steps forward to take her sister's place in the games. But Katniss has been close to dead before and survival , for her, is second nature. But without really meaning to, she becomes a competitor. But if she is to accomplish, she will have to start making choices that weigh survival against humanity and life against love.

MERRY...
No one's hangin' stockin's up,
No one's bakin' pie,
No one's lookin' up to see
A new star in the sky.
No one's talkin' brotherhood,
No one's givin' gifts,
And no one loves a Christmas tree
On March the twenty-fifth.
No one's hangin' stockin's up,
No one's bakin' pie,
No one's lookin' up to see
A new star in the sky.
No one's talkin' brotherhood,
No one's givin' gifts,
And no one loves a Christmas tree
On March the twenty-fifth.
I, Too, Sing America by Langston Hughes posted by Hugo Loya

I, Too, Sing America
I, too, sing America.
I am the darker brother.
They send me to eat in the kitchen
When company comes,
But I laugh,
And eat well,
And grow strong.
Tomorrow,
I'll be at the table
When company comes.
Nobody'll dare
Say to me,
"Eat in the kitchen,"
Then.
Besides,
They'll see how beautiful I am
And be ashamed--
I, too, am America.
I am the darker brother.
They send me to eat in the kitchen
When company comes,
But I laugh,
And eat well,
And grow strong.
Tomorrow,
I'll be at the table
When company comes.
Nobody'll dare
Say to me,
"Eat in the kitchen,"
Then.
Besides,
They'll see how beautiful I am
And be ashamed--
I, too, am America.
Fire and ice- poem by Samantha Deuble
Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what i've tasted in desire
I hold with those who favor fire
but if it had to perish twice
I think i know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
is also great
And would suffice

POEM
Basketball's my favorite sport.
I dribble up and down the court. The ball goes bouncing off my toes and beans the teacher on the nose. He stumbles back and grabs his nose and hits the wall and down he goes. The other players stop and stare. They've never heard the teacher swear. With no one playing anymore. I grab the ball. I shoot. I score. I love this game! It's so much fun. The teacher cried, but, hey--we won.

I Love u More Each and Every day
I Love u More Each and Every day
I love you more each and every day,
Your so beautiful and perfect in every way,
My love for u will never delay,
I’ll never let go, not even for a day,
Your so beautiful and perfect in every way,
My love for u will never delay,
I’ll never let go, not even for a day,
I’ll never leave you,
I’ll always be by your side,
To hold you and to protect you,
always making your day shine,
I’ll always be by your side,
To hold you and to protect you,
always making your day shine,
On new years day,
the day we first kissed,
is a beautiful day,
that I’ll never miss
the day we first kissed,
is a beautiful day,
that I’ll never miss
I’ll cherish you for ever and ever,
I’ll protect you through any terror,
I’ll never make your heart tear,
I’ll only do the opposite and care.
I’ll protect you through any terror,
I’ll never make your heart tear,
I’ll only do the opposite and care.

The City of Ember
The city of Ember is about an under ground city called Ember. Ember is under ground because they used all of the resorses above ground. The mayors of Ember had passed down a box from mayor to mayor for a long tim. In the box wer instructions on how to get back up above ground. The box would not open for 100 years. when the box did open a girl named Lina found it. She had her old friend Doon to help her leave the city and go above ground. Before they left the city they left a copy of the instructions. The others would soon get out and start a new city above ground

The Hunger Games is based on a girl named Katniss whose sister Prim gets picked for a fight to the death called the “Hunger Games”. Katniss volunteers herself so that her sister would not have to fight and possibly die. Katniss is picked to represent her district which was District 12. There was also a boy named Peeta who was in love with Katniss, but he was supposed to fight her until the death, but he did not want to kill her. There were 24 people all together in the Hunger Games that were to fight each other, until 1 was left. At the end of the games, there was an announcement that if the final two people alive were from the same district, then they would both win. Peeta and Katniss were the last two alive, so they did not have to kill each other.

Walk Two Moons. By Sharon Creech
Walk Two Moons it's a book about this
Native American girl that goes with her Grandparents
to find her mom who mysteriously disappeared into the
wild.
Although I haven't finished the book yet I think it's very interesting
because I really like the settings and the way it gives out details,
I wouldn't recommend this to my friends because I still haven't
finished the book and I want to see what happens at the end
so I can recommend it to my friends.

The Hunger Games
Every year the Capitol of Panem hosts an event called the Hunger Games where two "tributes" a boy and a girl – are drafted from each of the twelve districts to be brought to an arena and fight to the death. Only one person can win. This is to remind the country not to rebel and for entertainment, of course. This year, unfortunately, Katniss's little sister is selected for the Hunger Games, so Katniss volunteers to take her place. Also selected is Peeta Mellark, the baker's son, who maybe has a teensy tiny crush on Katniss. Maybe. I am barley into the fifth chapter in the book and i can already say i would recommend this to a friend because it is such a interesting book

Later in the story, Matty discovers he has a new power of healing. In the end Matty dies and his true name is given to him, Healer.
A Series of Unfortunate Events: The Wide Window by Lemony Snicket
This is the third book of the story. This time the orphans, Violet, Klaus, and Sunny, end up with their Aunt Josephine who is frightened of EVERYTHING: phones, refrigerators, ovens, and even doorknobs. They are living a little miserable because of this; but they are still glad they are not living with Count Olaf (the man who wants to still their parents' fortune). But one day, at the market, they find Count Olaf in disguise. They told their aunt but she did not believe it was him. He is dressed as a sailor with a (fake) wooden leg, he calls himself Captain Sham. After a few days, Captain Sham kills Aunt Josephine and he tells everyone she commited suicide and shows them a note that he made Aunt Josephine write before he killed her. At the end, Mr. Poe, the man in charge of getting the Bauldarine orphans a guardian, finally discovers that Captain Sham is Count Olaf. Mr. Poe tries to arrest him, but he escapes. Now Mr. Poe needs to find another guardian for the Bauldarine orphans but I think Count Olaf will kill their guardian again (he already did it twice) :(
Football Genius By Tim Green
I started reading this book during the writing STAAR Test. I actually really liked it because it's about what i love to do, play football. Their's this kid named Troy that can look at any game and know what is going to happen next in the blink of an eye. He plays football too, as the quarterback, but their's this other guy that always plays first just because his dad's the coach. Well i really like this book so far, I have to get more into it.
Little House on the Prairie by Laura Ingalls Wilder
This book is about a little girl named Laura Ingalls, and her family. Laura and her family had just moved out of the big woods in Wisconsin and moved onto a prairie somewhere in Kansas. Though, with this new farm life it can have a few ups and downs for Laura's family. In my opinion this book is a great read because of all the detail it has about a pioneer life. If you are a person who wants a great classic to read, you should read this book.

Mocking Jay by Suzanne Collins
katniss is in district 13 with her mom, sister and gale and the capital has peeta.district 12 had been bombed and now whoever survived is in 13, thanks to gale. she's acting all weird and depressed, but she finally agrees to be the face of the rebellion against the capital. she films all these commercials and stuff and sees the fighting in the districts. finally they get peeta back from the capital (along with Johanna) but he hates katniss now cuz the capital "hijacked" him by putting tracker jacker venom into him which causes fear, while bringing up memories of katniss. so now he hates her. This probably the most interesting part of the book.
The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
The Hunger Games is a really good book were they pick 2 children to play in the Hunger Games if you win you get fame and fortune but if you lose it means certain death. District 12 is a town were everyone is starving the only way to get food is to go to the forest and hunt and that's illegal but some guards act lie they don't see them because they are as hungry as everyone else. If you like of action you should really read this book.

Flipped by Wendelin Van Dorren
Two different opinions and two very different people "The first time she saw him she flipped. The first time he saw her he ran."~ quoted from the book "Flipped." If only they had a chance to talk about the main problem, then there wouldnt be nearly half a decade of strategic avoidance and social discomfort.
Flipped is an astonishing book about a girl named Juliana Baker who struggles to see the sum of its parts rather than the small details of life that create true magic. As Julie struggles with love Bryce Loski can't seem to avoid it. Being uncomfortable for half a decade, Bryce can not come over past the wall cloistering him from the truth that is right in front of him. I recomment this book because it shows the true meaning of magic. It shows the tinest of details added together to create the magic. This book can not be compared to any other and has truely impacted me and my point of view of life.

Percy Jackson The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan
I have finally finished The Lightning Thief and I really enjoyed the twist at the end. The prophecy that Percy got from the Spirit of Delphi comes true. Percy is betrayed by a friend and is left to die at the end of the book. Before he is betrayed however, he must leave on a quest with his two friends, Annabeth and Grover, to return the lightning bolt to Zeus by the summer solstice, which is approaching in a matter of days. Percy has an another quest on his mind- to save his mother, who was captured by a Minotaur and is being held by Hades in the Underworld. Percy and his two friends must travel across the country to complete their task and manage to stay alive as they meet many dangerous creatures of Greek mythology.

OKAY FOR NOW
Mrs. Johnson recommended this book to me, and I loved it. The character, Doug, has a lot of problems at home, and some hidden talents. The book is set in a little town during the Vietnam War, and Doug's brother is coming home wounded and bitter. The author included some beautiful pictures, as Doug learns about art.
Warning: this is a really emotional book!

The Pigman by Paul Zindel
Even though I've only read two chapters of this book. The Pigman, starts off to be an awesome story. It starts with this rebellious teenage boy named John. John explains how him and his friend Lorraine start righting a book on the adventures that they go through as sophomores in high school. John also tells us all the pranks he has pulled at Franklin High School. Then, Lorraine starts taking the role as the narrator and corrects John on some of the bad information. She reveals more of the mysterious story of their lives at Franklin High School.

Messenger
This book is (kind of) the continuation of The Giver because Gabriel and Jonas are in the book. The book is about the place where Jonas and Gabriel arrived with the sled in the first book: it is called Village. But in this book the main character is called Matty. He lives with a blind man. A lot of people that live in Village come other places looking for a better place to live; like Gabriel and Jonas.
Also, there is a Forest near Village that a lot of people think is very dangerous; because people have actually died in the Forest. But Matty likes going in the Forest. He goes in and out and nothing happens to him. There is a special connection between him and the Forest.
Another thing I have to mention is that there is a frog with a unique mark involved in the story that the author keeps mentioning. Matty founded and he wished the frog wasn't like that. I am trying to find out why is this frog so special. I am going to keep reading to find out.

Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins
After winning the 74th Hunger Games in the previous novel, Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark return home to District 12, the poorest sector in the fictional country of Panem. On the day that Katniss and Peeta are to start a "Victory Tour" of the country, she is visited by President Snow. President Snow explains that he is angry with her for threatening to commit suicide with Peeta at the end of the last Hunger Games, which permitted them both to win. President Snow tells Katniss that when she defied the Capitol, she created talk of rebellion in the districts. He threatens to kill her family and friends if she cannot prove to everyone in Panem that her act was not one of defiance, but that she was instead driven by an intense love for Peeta. This the most impotant part up to where I have read.

Infinity by Sherrlyn Kenyon
The full name of the book "the chronicles of nick infinity" is one the best books I read so far. It starts off as a zombie Apocalypse mixed with Greek mythology. Nick, one of the characters in the story, is a Malachi which can destroy the world whenever he wanted. The zombies are basically hypnotized people who is trying to kill Nick. Artemis Fowl by Eoin Colfer
Artemis Fowl II is the twelve-year-old son of an Irish crime lord, Artemis Fowl I. After significant research, Artemis believes that he has confirmed the existence of fairies. He tracks down an alcoholic sprite posing as a healer in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, and travels there with his bodyguard Butler to obtain from her The Book of the People—the Fairy holy book that is written in Gnommish
Meanwhile, Captain Holly Short of the Lower Elements Police is tracking a rogue troll that has managed to reach the surface of the Earth from the fairy city, deep underground. Assisted by a technically minded centaur called Foaly and LEPrecon commander Julius Root, she incapacitates the troll. However, this uses the last of her magic, and Commander Root demands that she complete the magic restoring ritual.
Artemis decodes the Book using translating software, and in the process, learns the specifics of the ritual: taking an acorn from an ancient oak tree near a bend in a river under the full moon and planting it elsewhere. Artemis and Butler track down over 100 possible locations for the ritual and start a stakeout; after nearly four months, they discover Holly performing the ritual. Butler tranquillises Holly with a hypodermic syringe.
A LEP retrieval team is sent to scout Fowl Manor. Using their 'shielding' ability, which allows them to vibrate faster than the human eye can follow, the team enters the manor grounds. Artemis had anticipated this, however, and installed a camera with a high frames-per-second rate, allowing him to detect the threat by freezing the image. After Butler incapacitates the intruders, Root decides to lay siege to Fowl Manor using a time-stop and enter negotiations. Artemis reveals the ransom demand: one metric ton of 24-carat gold. Artemis also reveals his knowledge of the time-stop and claims that he can escape it. An analysis by LEP behaviour experts determines that Artemis is telling the truth, or thinks he is. This most of the book and it seems very interresting.

Jumper by Steven Gould
Jumper by Steven Gould, is a novel about a guy named David that figures out he has an ability that he's never heard of. He finds out that he could jump when he was getting beat by his father. He just pictured the library in his mind and at the blink of an eye, he was at the library, alone. He didn't know how he could use this ability, he only knew that it had no limit. David could go wherever he wanted whenever he wanted. It gets really interesting, even though I've only read the beginning, it's a really good book.

Shadowland
This story starts off real mysterious and a little creepy. Ever and her boyfriend Damen are sitting on the beach looking at everything around them. Damen says that everything is energy and everything is made up of molecules. Ever doesn't understand and just goes along with it. They are about to hold and when Ever remembers she can't touch Damen skin to skin. Ever was not able to touch her boyfriend because Ramon (the bad guy) had killed Damen and Ever had given him an elixir to bring him back to life; if they touched Ever would die. Slam Dunk by Sharon Robinson
Jumper nodded toward his teammates. He bounced the ball several times and got into position. He bent his knees, spread his feet, and squared his body with the basket; he was so nervous. Then in one clean movement, he lifted the ball over his head. Release!
All eyes follewed the ball's flight. It dipped slightly, Grazing the right inside of the basket. Jumper sucked in air; his heart pounded. The ball teetered on the inside

Twilight Saga Breaking Dawn By: Stephenie Meyer
I Just stated reading Breaking Dawn and the book is really detailed. It is different from the movie (breaking Dawn pt.1) For Example in the begining of the movie Bella is at the Cullen's house and in the begining of the book Bella is putting gas for her car.If you dont want to read what you saw i Breaking Dawn pt.1 your out of luck because the book is not in order of part one and two.the first part is Bella talking and the second is Jacob talking, the third is Edward. Its a very good book. I recommend it to Twilight Fans.

Haynes Welding Manual
On my last blog I wrote about MIG-welding. This type of welding is very common for odd jobs around the house. MIG-welding can fix a rod iron table that has broken, it can mend a chain link fence, and it can be used to make an iron stand for your fire wood. I finally made it through the last chapter of my book and it teaches you how to make a utility trailer through MIG-welding. Utility trailers can be used to haul camping gear, lumber, yard trimmings, furniture, and lots of other odd things. It’s my goal to make my very own utility trailer this summer. With my dad at my side and helping me and lots of practice I really think I will be successful!

The Giver by Lois Lowry
This book is about a world without rules, color, animals, or feelings. It is a really interesting book because of all the things Jonas faces throughout the book. The most interesting part of the book in my opinion would be the part when he is in training for his assignment. The giver I've got to honestly say that its my favorite book.It has many twist and turns, a very entertaining book .Jonas the main character lives in a bland ,colorless world and later finds out what is his community really does.So he's runs from it so he can see colors and other things.
A Series of Unfortunate Events: The Reptile Room by Lemony Snicket
I really like this book. It is about three siblings who have special powers. The oldest one is Violet; she is very good at inventing things. Then there is Klaus; he loves reading. He has read more books than a person might have read in their whole life (he is 10 years old), so he is really smart. The youngest one is Sunny, she is a baby. She has very, very sharp teeth.
Their parents died, so their living with a relative who really likes snakes. So far everything is great. But I am sure is not going to stay like this. It is a series of unfortunate events.

Pride and Prejudice (continuing)
The next day after the ball Jane and Elizabeth began talking about Mr.Bingley and Mr.Darcey. Elizabeth was pleased that Mr.Bingley had asked her to dance twice and was also telling her sister Jane about it. They also talked about Mr.Darcey's and Mr.Bingely's friendship and how weird it was because they had different attitudes and characteristics. The only thing they had in common was their handsomeness but Mr.Darcey was a lot more conceited than Mr.Bingley. They also said that Mr.Bingley's sisters were very kind and agreeable people that had very good manners. They also started discussing about Mr.Bingley's wealth and fashion. I know the book has a lot to reveal and I cant wait for all the surprises that are to come.
